Daybreak for the morning, Rooted for after a meal: a 200 g bag of each, plus a 50 g pouch of each to give a friend.
Daybreak is Cusco green tea with orange and Villa Rica cardamom: a light gold cup, citrus and cardamom up front, gently sweet. It’s green tea, so it has some caffeine, less than a cup of coffee. Rooted has no caffeine. It’s ginger, guanábana leaf and pineapple with black mint: pineapple comes first, and the mint finishes cool.
Each 200 g bag makes about 40 cups. Brew Daybreak six to seven minutes, with the kettle rested two to three minutes off the boil; give Rooted the full ten minutes. For iced tea, cold-brew either blend in a pitcher in the fridge: Rooted overnight, Daybreak no more than ten hours, since it turns bitter past that. $64 is the price of the two bags, and the two 50 g pouches come with them. If a blend isn’t for you, we’ll make it right, and you keep the tea.
- Two 200 g bags and two 50 g pouches, one of each blend
- Daybreak naturally caffeinated, Rooted caffeine-free
- Ships free in the US
Daybreak’s calendula and Rooted’s boldo are often avoided during pregnancy. If you’re pregnant, nursing, or on medication, check with your doctor first.
Ingredients & origin
Daybreak: Orange, Cusco green tea, Villa Rica cardamom, lemongrass, calendula.
Rooted: Ginger, moringa, black mint, guanábana leaf, pineapple, turmeric, boldo.
No flavorings, no extracts. Blended in Peru.
How to brew
Loose botanicals are forgiving. Use a heaping spoon per cup and give it the full time. For a bolder cup, add more leaf, not more minutes.
Tea bags brew fast because they are filled with fine dust. Whole leaves and roots need more time to open. The longer steep is where the flavor is.
One heaped tablespoon per 8 oz cup. Each blend has its own time:
- Daybreak: 6 to 7 minutes, with the kettle rested 2 to 3 minutes off the boil.
- Rooted: 10 to 11 minutes. Hot, or cold-brewed overnight.
Steep in an infuser or a French press, or loose in a pot and poured through a strainer.
Shipping & returns
Orders ship within 1–2 business days from the US.
If a blend is not for you, email us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll make it right with a different blend, store credit or a refund, and you keep the tea. Full terms are on the make-it-right policy page.

Daybreak
The flavors aren’t overpowering and they blend with each other well. The lemongrass and orange come through nicely.
Daybreak
It is on the citrusy-bitter side (think lemon peel+yerba maté), and I love it
Rooted
I love the ginger and mint flavors. Works really well as a cold brew.
Rooted
It Is extremely refreshing, the mint comes through really well. Has a tiny bit of tang that is really delightful.
